Is that all you've got to show for seven and a half million year's work?
Which is a pretty fair question when you've built an enormous supercomputer at great expense and after all that time it tells you something that might well be accurate but has no practical use. Similarly we could ask if this is all the Saville inquiry has to show for 12 years and £191 million pounds. Great, it was a monumental fuck up, but is that anything we didn't already know? Are the dead any less dead? Does the fact that we now know it officially, with the world's most expensive rubber stamp, somehow make it all worthwhile? Did it do anything for the peace process, and if so couldn't that have been achieved more quickly and cheaply? Or was it all just a hideously expensive exercise in self promotion of a grinning mutation with delusions of statesmanship that far outlasted the bastard's tenure as Prime Mentalist?
I really think there needs to be an official Inquiry to answer all these questions.
