Money laundering the Ten Step Exile way

1 -Volunteer to do all the laundry
2 -Thoroughly check the pockets of Mrs Exile's jeans
3 - Forget to check the pockets of one's own jeans
4 - Start wash cycle
5 - Lift lid of machine at end of cycle and wonder about presence of clean but very wet $50 note
6 - Remember that a couple more had been put in pocket at the same time
7 - Rummage through wet clothes looking for other $50 notes
8 - Make some remark to wife about what a good job it is that Aussie banknotes are plastic
9 - Dry the wet notes with paper towels
10 - Try to ignore the laughter

When you have over 60% of the population owning a boat and 90% of the population living within an hour of the beach it's a good thing that Oz money is plastic.

That's made me wonder... could you glue notes together to form a water tight hull and would it be more expensive than going to Sunseeker? The only thing I can see is that the green boats will cost double the yellow ones and twenty times a purple one.
I worked as an electrician in a boatyard. The engineer on "my" crew was an obnoxious bastard, and got his comeuppance one day when we were doing some final testing on a luxury yacht. We had to check that all the appliances worked properly, and he put his dirty overalls in the washing machine, started the wash cycle and buggered off. Rather ominous banging sounds started emanating from it, but I couldn't see anything amiss due to the detergent suds.

Only when it had finished the load and we could open the door did we find the culprit - he hadn't bothered to check the inside of the drum, and it still contained the spanner provided to undo the transit security bolts..... AND the instruction manual and guarantee paperwork! Fortunately for him no damage seemed to have occurred, and the manual was in a plastic Ziploc bag and wasn't too badly soaked...

I didn't miss an opportunity to get one one over him after that!
