I wish I could honestly say this comes as a shock

Not for the first time I find myself saying that it's just as if Labour had never left.

Piers Corbyn commented at Autonomous Minds place that this is vaguely reminiscent of the 1930s and the Spanish civil war - and I have to say there is something in that - having just read two 600 pager histories of that conflict.

Some EU movers and shakers have ambitions in N. Africa - watch for Spanish, French and Italian moves to impose their political agenda on the area - the weird thing is there's not much to chose between those that come from the "right" or the "left"..... What on earth the Camhaerroid thinks he's going to achieve is something of a mystery - even to himself I suspect.

OTOH when it comes to Arab politics they know how to deal with dissent: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hama_massacre.

Sheesh, what a mess.....

Christ knows. Like I said the other day, regardless of the rights and wrongs it's not even as if the UK has a lot of weight to throw around at the moment.

I think the headline is missing something. It should read "Armed Forces Minister admits there is no exit strategy (AGAIN!)".

It seems as if they have learned nothing from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Why are we so surprised? After all, Cameron is the 'Heir to Blair'.

Meh.

Yep. Certainly Blair's heir in the sense of being a weapons grade twat.
