If you think I'm angry now...

... you should know that apparently it's all due to my age and it's likely to get worse for at least a few years before it get better.
Satisfaction with life starts to drop as early as a person's late 20s and does not begin to recover until well past 50, says Bert van Landeghem, an economist at Maastricht University in Belgium.
...
"From the mid-40s, people tend to become ever more cheerful and optimistic, perhaps reaching a maximum in their late 70s or 80s."
...
According to a study by the American National Academy of Sciences, based on a survey of 341,000 people, enjoyment of life begins an upward trend in the late 40s and does not peak until 85.
So by the sounds of things the late 30s and early 40s are the peak of one's angriosity, which is where I'm heading now. And there I was thinking it was just that I'm more aware of utter twats who won't fucking leave me alone than I used to be.

Don't worry, between then and now, government will dream up new regulations to delve into the pettiest of controls and you might even find yourself facing forced euthansia before hitting those older ages when angriosity tends to wind itself down.

Between then and now? Christ, the fuckers have left themselves hardly anywhere to go with petty regulation.

Utter bollocks. You just learn how to focus your anger better.

Uhm no.....you just don't have the energy to be angry anymore. A hangover lasts a week and it takes you all night long to do what you used to do all night.

ahhh those fist-punching-the-air protesting days of youth.....I'd probably do meself a mischief if I tried raising my arms above my head now. Fight the MAN, the Law? You must be joking, a vicious game of scrabble is about the most radical I can manage.
You might not have the energy, but that's a personal issue me old china.

I've become more cynical and now direct my anger, as opposed to letting it direct me, as in the days of my youth.
I did think when I read that that people who do become more cheerful and optimistic must be achieving it by giving in and closing their eyes.

I'm with Bill Sticker - I am considerably more angry now at 55 than I was 10 years ago. And I see fuck all chance of that situation changing with current world events...
