Due to the move of the blog to Wordpress posts from Jan 2012 onward will have commenting disabled (when I remember to do it)

Disqus - UPDATED

You're fired. Clear your desk, pack your shit and get out. Comment moderation is back on until a replacement comment lackey can be found.

UPDATE - Moderation is off again already and the experiment continues with comments by Intense Debate. I have to fight the temptation to call it Mass Debate but so far it looks like it can do what I got Disqus for and offers a few extra toys to play with such as the ability to post pictures. In theory anyway, though for some reason I'm not quite sure of that doesn't seem to be working even though it's enabled.

UPDATE 2 - Aha! You use the <img src=""> code.

I've found Intense Debate to be the best comments system for me personally. Echo's also good. It depends what exactly you want.

Blogger's standard system isn't much cop. It doesn't allow for threaded comments and you have almost no information whatsoever about who is posting. Intense Debate lets you block certain people, and also puts comments into a moderation queue automatically if certain words trigger the filter. I find it ideal for my needs.

Cheers, GR, though something's not gone right because now we're back to bloody Blogger comments.

Angry Exile, do you ever venture to Bali? I went there recently and there were lots of Australians and I see its a cheap flight. I use regular wordpress for my comments and they are all total automated spam so I don't approve any of them. What I need is something with a captcha for my pages related to
Jaco hotels. I am going to look into this solution you currently have running.
