Gadget Review.

Clearly I've spent too much time and too many brain cells skimming through the webshite of The Mainly Fail the last couple of days, but my eye was caught by this gadget review for an underwater digital camera (written by some clueless woman who not only did not know what an O-ring is but didn't get the clue from the name - Mrs Exile knows, and she laughed). While marking it down for a bad Engrish transrated user manual and its assumption that she either knows or can work out what an O-ring is the reviewer seemed to quite like it, which means she's missed the big problem that underwater cameras all share.

    Looks like an "O Ring Blowout".

    I see the Fail have stopped comments on that article - there are only 3, and 2 of them mention the "O" ring, one pointing out that it must have been written by a woman...

    Can't allow any sexism, can we??

    I hadn't noticed the comments have been stopped though I did see a few patient explanations along the lines of 'a ring looks a bit like an O' so I'm not surprised.
