Things I still don't get about Australia - No. 5

The Holden / Ford rivalry. I know there's a big racing history between them, but despite both producing some of their vehicles here in Australia and even designing some specifically for this market (when was the last Ford or Vauxhall made just for the UK?) they're both owned by the Yanks. There's no big rivalry between Mitsubishi and Toyota with fierce arguments between their loyal fans. They make cars here too and they've got some brand loyalty, sure, but there's nothing like the passion that exists between Holden and Ford fans. Don't get it, don't get it at all.
