The dead hand of HR and government, strangling opportunities for the last 30 years.<br />Short guidance is you may only discuss stuff directly relevant to the job, the requirements and suitability therefore. Anything else is off limits.<br /><br />Standard trick these days is to ensure that the requirements have an impossible condition. e.g. 10 years of experience in a technology that has only been around for 5 or 6 years; qualifications that don't exist etc.<br />That allows them to reject anybody and everybody on the technicality, and thus trump any objections.<br /><br />No one remembers the very sage advice to first employ the person, and then decide what it is they will be doing.Chucklesnoreply@blogger.com
